Almost as good as the high end brands
So, I’ve been into wearing wigs for a while now, and I usually go for Raquel Welch ones, dropping anywhere from $250 to $500 a pop. My jam is this Glazed Strawberry shade, but man, these wigs start looking like a hot mess real quick. I mean, within weeks, they’re all tangled up and looking like they’ve seen better days. I’ve tried reviving them, spending hours on end, but seriously, I’m starting to question if they’re really worth the price tag.
Anyway, I decided to do some serious digging on Amazon, looking for something similar but hopefully less high-maintenance. And lo and behold, I stumbled upon this one with decent reviews. Gotta say, for the price, it’s not half bad. The fibers feel even better than those fancy brands I’ve splurged on, plus they can handle a bit of heat (I kept it under 300 degrees though).
Now, the color isn’t as fancy-pants with just two shades mixed in, compared to those high-end wigs with like a whole rainbow blended in seamlessly. And the lack of a lace front? Yeah, that’s a bummer. The bangs straight outta the box were a no-go for me, looked way too obvious. But after tinkering a bit, watching some YouTube tutorials and all, I managed to tweak the front bit and style the bangs so they cover it up. Not perfect for a face-to-face meeting, but for errands or chilling at home, it does the job just fine.
Been rocking it a few times now, and surprisingly, the fibers aren’t turning into a bird’s nest like my other wigs. So, for the price? Definitely worth a shot! And in case you’re squinting at my chicken scratch in the pic, the first wig’s the Glazed Strawberry, followed by Rusty Auburn, then this Amazon find, and finally, fiery copper.
